Onepage Parallax WordPress Theme Documentation

Theme Installation & Activate #

Installing a theme through WordPress is quite easy

Upload the theme file #

  1. Go to Appearance > Themes in the WordPress Dashboard
  2. Click on the Add New button
  3. Click on the Upload Theme button
  4. Click Browse and select the current version of aemon.zip in your computer
  5. Click Install Now

After the theme is installed successfully you can activate the theme by clicking Activate on the link as appear on your screen.

Manually activate theme #

If you wish to activate manually

  1. Go to Appearance Themes in the WordPress menu
  2. Mouseover theme thumbnail and press the Activate button

Import Demo Content #

This is a very important step to set up the site exactly you see in our demos. Remember, you should install all the required plugins to continue with this.

We have also written a detailed article on Importing Demo Content to WordPress themes.

Menu Setup #

Go to Appearance > Menus

  1. Add item to the menu.
  2. List menu item, here you can drag the item to sort.
  3. Chose menu location to display.
  4. Click Save Menu

Site Identity #

Go to Appearance > Customize > Site Identity

  1. Add Site Title: If you want to show Title.
  2. Add Tagline: It’s slogan that displays beside the logo.
  3. Add Site Icon (favicon).
  4. Click Save & Publish.

Theme Option #

Go to Appearance > Customize > Theme Option

  1. Global Settings
    1. Select the Sidebar Positions for pages, blog, search, author and single posts.
    2. Select the Back to top icon Enable / Disable Footer Icon for go to the top.
    3. Select the Sticky Header Enable / Disable Sticky Header.

  2. Header Settings
    1. Choose a Header Background Color if you want to change header background colour.
    2. Choose a Navigation Background Color if you want to change navigation background colour.
    3. Choose a Navigation Color if you want to change navigation text colour.

  3. Site Colors
    1. Choose a Site Background Color if you want to change the background colour of the site.
    2. Choose a Footer Color if you want to change footer text colour.
    3. Choose a Footer Background Color if you want to change footer background colour.

  4. Blog Post Settings
    1. Customize Header Image for Blog Page. If you want to change/remove the blog posts header image.
    2. Customize Heading for Blog Post. If you want to change/remove the heading on blog posts header image.
    3. Customize Short Description under Blog Heading. If you want to change/remove the short description under the heading on blog posts header image.
    4. Click on Enable Author Short Bio under post. To Enable / Disable Author Bio section over a post title on the blog page.
    5. Click on Enable Publish date of the post. To Enable / Disable Post Published Date over a post title on the blog page.
    6. Click on Enable Modifying date of the post. To Enable / Disable Post Modifying Date over a post title on the blog page.
    7. Click on Enable Categories of the post. To Enable / Disable Post Categories under a post title on the blog page.
    8. Click on Enable Comment Counter of the post. To Enable / Disable Comment Counter under a post on the blog page.
    9. Click on Enable Read More Button of the post. To Enable / Disable Read More Button under a post on the blog page.
    10. Select Show content type on blog. To show Excerpt or Full content on the blog post.

  5. Single Post Settings
    1. Click on Enable Header Image on single post. To Enable / Disable Header Image on the single post.
    2. Customize Header Image for Single Post. If you want to change/remove the single post header image.
    3. Click on Enable Publish date of the post. To Enable / Disable Post Published Date over a post title on the single post.
    4. Click on Enable Modifying date of the post. To Enable / Disable Post Modifying Date over a post title on the single post.
    5. Click on Enable Categories of the post. To Enable / Disable Post Categories over a post title on the single post.
    6. Click on Enable Author Bio under post. To Enable / Disable Author Bio section under a post content on the single post.
    7. Click on Enable Tags of the post. To Enable / Disable Post Tags under a post content on the single post.
    8. Click on Enable Next Previous Post Button on the post. To Enable / Disable Next & Previous Button under a post on the single post.
    9. Click on Enable Related Posts on the single post. To Enable / Disable Related Posts in the single post.

Setup Home Page #

  1. Create your new page and give it a name, e.g: Home and Set the page template to Home template
  • Go to Appearance > Settings  in the WordPress Dashboard and change your front page to the Home page you recently created above
  • Go to Appearance > Customizer in the WordPress Dashboard to customize your front page content.
  • Section: Hero
    1. Hero Section
      1. Choose a Make this section visible. If you want to show Hero Section.
      2. Select Header Type. Which one you want.
        1. Use: Header image
        2. Use: Gradient with Header Image
        3. Use: Gradient with Colors Only
        4. Use: Shortcode
      3. Customize Header Image. If you want to change the header image.
      4. Customize Gradient Color. If you want to change the colour of the gradient.
      5. Customize Text. Customize your text from Editor.
      6. Add Shortcode. If you want to use any slider plugin.

  • Section: About us
    1. About Top Heading
      1. Choose a Make this section visible. If you want to show About Us Section.
      2. Customize About Title. If you want to change About Us heading.
      3. Customize Subtitle. If you want to change short note under About Us heading.

    2. About Us – Section
      Here you can find the About Us Repeater section. Select the section and insert your information related to section.
      1. Customize Layout Setting. Choose the layout of about us section that is 2, 3 or 4 columns.
      2. Customize Subtitle Change subtitle of the section.
      3. Select Page For content.
      4. Choose Show Title If you want to show the title of the page in the section.
      5. Choose Show Link If you want to link the section to that page.
      6. Choose Show Feature Image If you want to show the image in the section.
      7. Here you complete the section.
      8. Now Click on Add New Item Button for creating a new section.

  • Section: Success
    1. Success Settings
      1. Choose a Make this section visible. If you want to show Success Section.

    2. Success – Section
      Here you can find the Success Repeater section. Select the section and insert your information related to section.
      1. Customize Image. Change image of the section.
      2. Customize Number. Change Number of the success of the section.
      3. Customize Heading. Change Heading of the section.
      4. Here you complete the section.
      5. Now Click on Add New Item Button for creating a new section.

  • Section: Services
    1. Service Top Heading
      1. Choose a Make this section visible. If you want to show Services Section.
      2. Customize Service Title. If you want to change Service heading.
      3. Customize Subtitle. If you want to change short note under Service heading.

    2. Service – SectionHere you can find the Service Repeater section. Select the section and insert your information related to section.
      1. Customize Layout Setting. Choose the layout of Service section that is 2, 3 or 4 columns.
      2. Select Page For content.
      3. Choose Show Title If you want to show the title of the page in the section.
      4. Choose Show Feature Image If you want to show the image in the section.
      5. Here Complete the section.
      6. Now Click on Add New Item Button for creating a new section.

  • Section: Get in Touch
    1. Get in Touch Section
      1. Choose a Make this section visible. If you want to show Get in Touch Section.
      2. Customize Heading Title. If you want to change heading.
      3. Customize Subtitle. If you want to change short note under the heading.
      4. Customize Call us Text.
      5. Customize Number.
      6. Customize Button Text. If you want to change button text.

  • Section: Team
    1. Team Top Heading
      1. Choose a Make this section visible. If you want to show Team Section.
      2. Customize Team Title. If you want to change Team heading.
      3. Customize Subtitle. If you want to change short note under Team heading.

    2. Team – Section
      Here you can find the Team Repeater section. Select the section and insert your information related to section.
      1. Customize Layout Setting. Choose the layout of Team section that is 2, 3 or 4 columns.
      2. Customize Designation. Change designation of the member.
      3. Select Page. Getting the content of member.
      4. Choose Show Title For showing the name of the member.
      5. Choose Use Feature Image For showing the image of the member.
      6. Customize Social IconHere you can find the Social Repeater section. Select the icon and add the link.
      7. Here Complete the section.
      8. Now Click on Add New Team Member Button for creating a new section.

  • Section: Subscriber
    1. Subscriber Section
      1. Choose a Make this section visible. If you want to show Subscriber Section.
      2. Add Shortcode. MailChimp plugin shortcode that was imported with demo data.

  • Section: Offers Table
    1. Offer Top Heading
      1. Choose a Make this section visible. If you want to show Offer Section.
      2. Customize Offer Title. If you want to change Offer heading.
      3. Customize Subtitle. If you want to change short note under Offer heading.

    2. Offer – Section
      Here you can find the Offer Repeater section. Select the section and insert your information related to section.
      1. Customize Title Change title of the section.
      2. Customize Price Change price of the section.
      3. Customize Description Change description of the section (You can use HTML tag in that section).
      4. CusotmizeLink If you want to link the section with some page.
      5. Here you complete the section.
      6. Now Click on Add New Offer Button for creating a new section.

  • Section: Blog
    1. Choose a Make this section visible. If you want to show Blog Section.
    2. Customize Blog Title. If you want to change Blog heading.
    3. Customize Subtitle. If you want to change short note under Blog heading.
    4. Enter Number of post to Show : To show posts in this section.
    5. Customize the Character length to show under a post.

  • OnePage Parallax Pro
    1. OnePage Parallax Pro is actually a plugin which extends the OnePage Parallax Theme functionality. We have a video on How to Install OnePage Parallax Pro.
    2. Installing a plug through WordPress is quite easy.
      1. Go to Plugin > Add New in the WordPress Dashboard.
      2. Click on the Upload Plugin button on the left top.
      3. Click Browse and select the onepage-parallax-pro.zip from your computer.
      4. Click Install Now.
      5. After plugin installed successfully you can activate the plugin by clicking Activate on the link.
